Solomon made a few specifications of the entries required for In Bb 2.0, from the stylistic suggestions that “simple, floating textures work best” to the practicalities of playing the submission alongside those on In Bb to ensure the volume levels match. All the submissions had to be in B-flat major, a key Solomon tells Wired.co.uk, “was just the first that came to mind. It’s probably because I have a background in jazz and B flat is the jazz musician’s C — the simplest and most common.”
